The Sarasota Craft Show December 5, 6 & 7   2014

The Sarasota Craft Show returns to Robarts Arena, December 5-7, 2014. The event, now in its fifth year, features exceptional works in ceramics, decorative fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed-media, paper, wearable art, wood, painting, photography and sculpture by more than 100 of the nation's top artists.

About The Producers
Hailed by artists nationwide as one of the more innovative promoters empowering artists and artisans working in the fine arts and crafts industry, Richard Rothbard and his wife Joanna took over management of the event (formerly the American Craft Show Sarasota) five years ago. Their firm, American Art Marketing, has launched and produced annual fine art and craft events in the northeast for more than 30 years. They established the American Fine Craft Show NYC, Contemporary Art Fair NYC and the Rockefeller Arts Festival in Manhattan.

Currently they produce the annual July 4th Berkshires Arts Festival in Massachusetts and the Sarasota Craft Show in Florida in December. Last year they launched The Art of American Craft Museum Series featuring the American Fine Craft Show Brooklyn at Brooklyn Museum, November 22-23, 2014 and in 2015 will add another show to benefit the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Hartford, Conn., April 24-26 and the Monmouth Museum, Lincroft, N.J. in October. The Rothbards also own An American Craftsman Galleries, with Manhattan locations - 790 7th Avenue (52nd Street) and 150 West 55th Street - as well as in Stockbridge, Mass. Richard Rothbard, is also a woodworker. His distinctive boxes, Boxology are sold world wide.

Last year, the Sarasota Craft Show, which relocated to Robarts Arena in 2012, attracted more than 5,000 visitors over the three-day event. Continuing to build on that success, Rothbard and his team have been busy with their rigorous process of selecting the 100+ artists and artisans for the Sarasota show.
